Artist in Residence program - 2010-2011 (free for schools!)

Cantus is now accepting applications for our Artist in Residence program

Every year, the vocal ensemble Cantus brings its collaborative style of music-making at no cost to three Minnesota high school choirs. The 2010-11 residency is a multi-faceted, year-long program which includes:

- Monthly workshops, master classes and collaborations with the singers of Cantus at each high school during their normal class period

- A free in-school concert for the high school

- Free tickets to Cantus’ fall concert

- A culminating concert in 2011 featuring the high school choirs and Cantus.

Cantus will work closely with the choral directors to determine repertoire and schedules. It is expected that Cantus will be in the choir room approximately once a month as school and touring schedules allow.

The singers of Cantus spread their love of singing by working with choir students and directors to improve vocal skills and expand choral repertoire.

This program is offered completely free-of-charge to participating schools.
